Local high school club, the Animal Leadership Club (ALC), is now affiliated with the Philly Pet Pantry! Members of this club have collaborated with the SPCA, a local animal shelter, and organized community events, such as drives, producing infographics, pottery making, and visits from therapy animals, to bring awareness to animal welfare topics. Additionally, they hope to provide members of their school with opportunities to work with animals and be exposed to veterinary medicine. The ALC will be organizing a school-wide collection drive for the Philly Pet Pantry. We are so excited for this partnership, to both help animals in the Germantown community and to get more members involved with the Philly Pet Pantry. Animal welfare is an extremely important and prevalent topic, and the Philly Pet Pantry (and the ALC) are so excited to do their part in ensuring a happy and healthy future for pets.
